Rugs and Brunch Event Participation Agreement
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Rugs and Brunch event, I, the undersigned, hereby agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk:
I acknowledge that rug tufting and participation in the brunch event involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, accidents, and exposure to various equipment. I understand that these risks cannot be entirely eliminated and I voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown.
2. Waiver and Release:
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Accra Tufting Studio, African Regent Hotel, their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively referred to as "Releasees") from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Rugs and Brunch event, including without limitation, any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
3. Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses that may arise out of or in connection with my participation in the Rugs and Brunch event, including but not limited to any claims brought by third parties arising out of my conduct.
4. Medical Treatment:
I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary if I am injured or require medical attention during my participation in the Rugs and Brunch event. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment, medical transportation, and any related expenses.
5. No Show and Refund Policy:
I understand that if I do not show up for the event, I will not receive a refund. I acknowledge that my spot will be held for a maximum of 40 minutes from the start time of the event. If I arrive later than 40 minutes after the event start time, I understand that my spot may be forfeited without any refund.
6. Photography/Video Release:
I grant permission to Accra Tufting Studio and African Regent Hotel to take and use photographs, videos, and other recordings of me during the event for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation to me. I understand that these materials will be the property of the Releasees.
7. Special Assistance:
I understand that if I require special assistance or accommodations due to a disability or other condition, it is my responsibility to inform the event organizers in advance. The organizers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
8. Alcohol Consumption:
I acknowledge that alcoholic beverages will be available during the brunch. I agree to drink responsibly and understand that I am solely responsible for my actions and any consequences resulting from my consumption of alcohol. I confirm that I am of legal drinking age in Ghana. I acknowledge that excessive drinking may impair my ability to participate safely in rug tufting and other activities.
9. Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions:
I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the event organizers of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the event. I acknowledge that while efforts will be made to accommodate my needs, the Releasees cannot guarantee that food and beverages will be free from allergens or meet all dietary requirements.
10. Responsibility for Minors:
If I am registering a minor for the event, I acknowledge that I am responsible for the supervision and safety of the minor at all times during the event. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims arising from the minor’s participation in the event.
11. Compliance with Rules:
I agree to follow all instructions, guidelines, and rules provided by Accra Tufting Studio, African Regent Hotel, and their representatives during the event. I understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in my removal from the event without any refund or compensation.
12. COVID-19 and Health Safety Protocols:
I acknowledge that I am responsible for adhering to all COVID-19 safety protocols, including but not limited to wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and using hand sanitizers as required by the event organizers. I confirm that I have not exhibited any COVID-19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
13. Weather and Event Modifications:
I understand that the event may be subject to changes or cancellations due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. I acknowledge that the organizers will make reasonable efforts to inform participants of any changes, but no refunds will be issued for changes or cancellations due to weather or other force majeure events.
14. Governing Law:
This waiver and any disputes arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ghana.
15. Consent to Electronic Signatures:
I consent to the use of electronic signatures for this agreement and any other documents related to the event. I agree that my electronic signature is legally binding and has the same effect as a handwritten signature.
I HAVE READ THIS EVENT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTANDING ITS TERMS. I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
